Thrift Store Finds

I have always loved shopping. SERIOUSLY loved shopping! My mom always taught me that it is better to have a few key pieces that might be a little pricey like a structured blazer, a good pair of jeans, a nice blouse, and a sensible pair of shoes. It is better to have something that may work with everything, than having 98347883979834 crop tops from Forever 21.
(Read "Aero Makeover and My First Crop Top later this week)

If you are a fan of pricier clothes, but don't want to pay the price, try thrifting. Some of the best items are at thrift stores.
This past weekend I went to Act 2 Consignment in Huntsville. They were super nice people, and I loved all they had. Jewelry, shoes, and prom dresses. Dress clothes, casual and designer purses.

Here is all that I scored:

Ann Taylor Loft Blazer Normal Price: $89.00-$178.00
Act 2: At least half off
 Express Dress Normal Price: $59.60
Act 2: more than half off
7 For All Mankind Jeans normal price: $189.00
Act 2: Around $40.00

Conclusion: This thrift trip rocked! -The Ann Taylor blazer is incredible. I can wear it with casual jeans to dress it down, and my cropped dress pants.
-Polka dot dress great for wearing over leggings.
- 7 for all Mankind skinny jeans... well everything goes with these, and a pair of jeans fit me:)

After this great trip I decided to Google upscale thrift stores around the country out of curiosity.
Here are some great ones I found:
-BChic in Atlanta

-Upscale Consignment Woodbury Location

-DC Consignment in DC

Ina NYC Consignment

-Tickled  Pink in Nashville TN

Next time you are looking for something great, look at your nearest consignment shop.

Pinterst- You Could Call it a Love/Hate Relationship

OHHHH Pinterest. (This entry might ramble and rant some by the way)
Wedding boards, wedding boards, wedding boards.
It seems like when I sit in the back of some of my classes, girls are planning their not soon to be weddings, with their not soon to be husbands, with their potential wedding dress (that probably won't look good on them- #sorrynotsorry).
I recently have starting using Pinterest, meaning this summer. My boards consist of :
-Work Inspired Outfits
-Little Black Dresses
-Fancy Feet(aka heels)
-Halloween costume ideas
-Casual outfits
-Makeup(because, well I should maybe start learning how to wear it a little more, at least in my opinion)
-Apartment Stuff
-Music I Jam To
-CRAFTS I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO TRY

That last one, yes ACTUALLY going to try. I mean SHEESH, I understand if you own a blog(a la ME ) or run a business where Pinterest can be essential, but COME ON LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH 99928734983742 pins? Are you going to remember what you even wanted to craft, or bake or wear even though you have boards that organize it for you? In my humble opinion......I think not! It seems to me as though Pinterest is a mindless thing to do in class when you don't want to listen.

The intended purpose of Pinterest to begin with was to keep you organized so you can REMEMBER what you want to do, and ACTUALLY do it.

I vow to not pin more than TEN crafts at a time, meaning during a "pinning session" until I finish at least TWO crafts!

My first craft is going to be decorating my plastic storage bins at school into something less blah and boring. So ladiesand gentleman,( according to the statistics over 80 percent of pinners are women) start creating your crafts!

What do you pin the most on your boards? What was your favorite craft?

My FAV Daily Products

So since I've been reading a ton of blogs and it seems like many "lifestyle" or "product offers and giveaways" are constantly offered I decided to feature what I use daily. No I don't want to be like everyone else, but I do want to show you though that simple  products from your local grocery store or Target( aka Tarje') are just as good and crazy AFFORDABLE.

(Cue my bathroom tile floor picture)

Products I love from top left-bottom right:
- Number 1
Old Spice Fresh Sport (yes I know mostly made for men) personally I like the smell better, and because it works so well for rugged and "sport" men I think for a girl that works out a lot it's great. It can be found for $7.39 a pack which includes two sticks at Target.

-Number 2
Johnson Head to Toe Baby Wash is found at Target for $2.99
My mom always says if it is good enough for a baby's sensitive skin, it is good enough for anyone. If anyone has sensitive skin, try this!

-Number 3
Daisy by Marc Jacobs($?). This I consider to be my only luxury item used daily. It was given to me as a gift. I secretly really love it because of the bottle and the colors. This can be found at various deparment stores including Dilliards.

Last  but not least
-Number 4
Organiz  Keratin Shampoo. I have bought it at Target and other grocery stores for no more than $6. I love the smells of the various products, how soft it makes my hair, and the colorful bottles:)

You could call my daily beauty routine( minus any makeup I wear) "Target Chic" !

Happy Monday everyone!
